A couple of years ago I thought I would try something a bit different from my usual work.
A mosaic that would be a challenge and when finished would be a good likeness.
I choose to mosaic well-known people.
My first mosaic was Marilyn Monroe.
The second mosaic was Bruce Springsteen. I thought this one was quite recognisable but when I asked my brother and a friend who they thought it might be, they both said it looked like Bob Dylan!
On my third attempt and to stop uncertainty, I added their name. This time my Instagram (pamosaicdevon) group said, “Why did you add the name, we can see who it is - Elvis!”.
Elvis now lives in Tavistock, Devon.
I carried on and decided to mosaic Jimi Hendrix.
A hero of mine, a music legend.
Lemmy, lead singer, from Motorhead/Hawkwind was commissioned for a huge fan.
He had meet Lemmy when he was younger and
still loves his music today.
